Product Management / Purchasing

 

Job Description

  • Understand company strategy and recommend competitive positioning/pricing
  • Evaluate equipment lists offered to our company and make buy recommendation
  • Manage top selling products while actively sourcing, negotiating and purchasing for inventory
  • Enter requisitions; obtain approvals and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Track Purchasing activity and measurements.
  • Develop pricing intelligence and recommend target cost & and resale value
  • Identify slow-move/no-move inventory; develop product specials to help accelerate sales
  • Define, analyze and report metrics (KPI’s) to inform the success of our product lines/programs
  • Learn our proprietary quote/sales system and become an expert
  • Manage company e-bay account (load items, process orders, maintain listings)

Experience

  • Knowledge of telecom infrastructure (Wireless, Wireline, OEM’s, Carriers, Technology, Markets)
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is desirable
  • Experience in telecom as analyst/product manager a plus
  • E-commerce purchasing experience a plus

Skills

  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects and operational responsibilities simultaneously
  • Must be able to interact professionally with both internal and external contacts
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Solid computer skills, web savvy and familiar Microsoft office (excellence in Excel is preferred)
  • Strong customer orientation and excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Additional Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent degree from an accredited College or University

Current US work authorization

Travel will be estimated at 20% since PTS does have an East Coast location.
